Jamal Collins is a designer, educator, consultant and mentor, with almost two decades of varied experience as a graphic designer under his belt. He is a firm believer in the power of direction and encouragement as a vehicle for individual, and by extension, social change.
After spending 17 years as a graphic designer in a corporate setting, Jamal discovered his life’s purpose while volunteering as an art instructor for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland (BGCC). This evolved into Jamal visiting various club locations providing graphic design classes, with the express goal of exposing the children to something far removed from their everyday existence.
By pairing his beliefs with his profession, Jamal as an independent consultant, created the After School Graphic Design Program at BGCC, and has been making a positive difference in the lives of Cleveland’s Creative Kids.
