Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!

With the fourth annual Revolve Conference behind us, we recognize that we’ve got quite a lot to be thankful for, and we’ve decided to take the time today to enumerate a few of our blessings.

We’re grateful for:

  • The support of the fine folks over at Palmer’s – for the last four years they’ve been our swag bag sponsor and shared their amazing product with Revolve Attendees
  • Ilise Benun  – The Marketing Mentor, has walked alongside us in the various roles of advisor, speaker and facilitator/host of the Revolve Conference Speaker Podcast Series
  • Our Revolve Crew – without a doubt we have the most amazing team that has worked behind the scenes and in plain view to straighten out the snags and keep Revolve running smoothly. From packing swag bags and folding tshirts, to setup and teardown, photography and videography to … ultimately being the face of Revolve to sponsors, speakers and attendees.  We’ve had some turnover, but quite a few mainstay crew members like Gwendolyn Bouchie, Maggie Lacoste, Michele Rutledge, Sandy Juzups and  Will McCulloch to name but a few.
  • Our unnamed supporters/encouragers/hand-holders (you know who you are) we love you and appreciate all you do!

From the bottom of our hearts – Thank You!!!

This year, Kismet the Fox made his debut, and we’re happy that he was so well embraced … this Fox is just all over the place … it’ll be interesting to see where he turns up next … stay tuned.

All told, despite all the difficulties encountered on the backend, we thank you for helping to make RevolveConf 2018 a success.  Success gauged by the enormous knowledge transfer, myriad connections made and the fun had by all.  We encourage you (as always) to embrace the new things learned, and maintain the connections you made at Revolve this year.

Friendly Follow-up

While at the conference (during an interactive session, frolicking at the Lucent Booth, chilling in between sessions, or even dancing in the aisles with our vivacious Mistress of Ceremony), you encountered people from different parts of the country, and Charleston locals you’d never met before.  You collected business cards, Facebook friends, Twitter, and Instagram followers; now it’s time (if you haven’t already done so), to reach out and keep those connections warm.

Keep the conversation going, join the REVOLVErs groups on Facebook, or LinkedIn to cement the relationships forged – imagine how cool it would be next year to reunite with your fellow #revolversforlife

Be realistic! Follow-up with fellow attendees and speakers, who resonated with you for whatever reason, let them know you enjoyed meeting them.  Set up a phone/skype call, or face-to-face meeting with anyone you specifically want to do business or cement a relationship with.

Pay it Forward

Without a doubt, you’ve gained loads of new information, inspiration, and contacts at the conference.  One of the best things you can do with these resources is to share them with your co-workers, colleagues, and friends.

Be bold about sharing your RevolveConf Experience and takeaways. Share links to slides of the sessions you thought were particularly valuable. Give a talk about something you learned at your next staff meeting, or community meetup; tell your boss/meetup attendees about some of the interesting contacts you made. Who knows, your boss or meetup organizer may feel led to bring one of your contacts in to share in your space.

In the interim, you can keep bopping your head to Revolve’s playlists on Spotify.

Again, Happy Thanksgiving … and remember a thankful heart is a happy heart!
