Revolve Conference welcomes Alicia Rodman as she steps into the role of Mistress of Ceremony for this year’s conference. Expect Alicia to mix her verve, charm and infectious zest for life with the traditional role of emcee as she guides your Revolve 2018 Experience.
Alicia is an educator with over twenty years’ experience. She has taught middle school; adult learning programs; functioned as an adjunct professor; facilitated professional development for teachers, and engaged in personal coaching and motivational speaking. She sees herself as a Possibilities Strategist, and in her sphere of influence has impacted myriad lives by helping people to first recognize what is possible, then assisting with purpose and goal clarification.
Alicia comes from a family of preachers, speakers, activists, comediennes, and singers, so it’s no surprise that volunteerism and activism are important to her. She has volunteered as a docent and social media specialist for the Piermont Historical Society where she currently sits on the fundraising committee. Additionally, she serves on the advisory board of the Educational Opportunity Fund at Bergen Community College in New Jersey; has been a veteran mentor for American Corporate Partners and served underprivileged students in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
When she isn’t traveling for work or championing a cause, Alicia is passionate about staying active and often starts her day with a predawn workout. Her role as a mother is very important to her, and although her children are now young adults, she enjoys hanging out with them and occasionally arranges family trips. At home, she enjoys listening to books on Audible, playing with Simba (her canine companion), and watching British mystery series. She also enjoys a full-bodied red wine, socializing with friends, dancing, and can often be found fronting a local band.
