Speaker Spotlight – Ben Cash

Speaker Spotlight - Ben Cash

Ben Cash is a man who counts himself lucky to have the life he leads.  His family, a thriving business and varied interests to keep him busy and fulfilled, all contribute to his contented state.  In his former life, he was a professional musician who toured extensively playing his trombone with orchestras, jazz and blues bands.  Fast forward a few years, and Ben the musician had morphed into the Founder, CEO and Lead Strategist of BlueKey.  Although he doesn’t play the trombone much these days, he’s prone to incessant whistling.

For one reason or another, travel has always been a part of Ben’s life.  As a musician, his touring schedule led to frequent and far-reaching travel; and he lived for a time in California, Louisiana and Virginia before putting down deep roots in Charleston, South Carolina. Ben shares that when he first arrived in Charleston he was blown away by the charm and beauty of the area, which attracted him to photography. He finds inspiration from photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and embraces the notion of capturing moments without regard to staging or equipment.

Quality of life is of great importance to Ben, and he makes every effort to maintain a healthy work/life balance. If Ben isn’t obsessing over UX, he can be found enjoying time with his wife and stepson, throwing himself into a remodeling project, or kayaking on the Ashley River.  He is an admitted scrabble addict and foodie, whose bucket list includes walking the El Camino de Santiago which could take up to six weeks.

From any viewfinder, Ben Cash embodies the ultimate in high dynamic range imaging.  He is a talented musician – born and raised in Nashville Tennessee; a successful business owner – often engaged as a consultant or guest speaker, and an accomplished amateur photographer, all of which add up to him being a contented family man.

… In case you were wondering – No, he’s not related to Johnny Cash!
