Speaker Spotlight – Keisha A. Rivers Shorty

Speaker Spotlight - Keisha A. Rivers Shorty

Keisha A. Rivers Shorty is based in Charleston, SC, where she is the Managing Consultant of The KARS Group; and Executive Director of The KARS Institute.  She is a woman whose life and career have been shaped by equal parts self-awareness, and strategic opportunities duly seized and leveraged.

Keisha specializes in providing personal and professional development services to Entrepreneurs, Non-Profits and Corporations via Released & Ready workshops and retreats; BeastMode Boot Camp strategy development series; and FAB Outcomes training sessions.  She assists with fundraising planning, grant writing, strategic planning and sponsorship acquisition. In the past she has served as an adjunct professor, Talk Show Host, and General Manager to a Minor League Soccer Franchise.  She is also an author, and gifted speaker who provides motivational and inspirational talks, presentations, conferences and workshops on a variety of topics for groups of all sizes.  Notwithstanding her repertoire, at heart, Keisha is an Educator who thrives on helping people (and by extension businesses) to grasp new concepts and evolve into better versions of themselves.

Keisha is energetic, engaging and inquisitive by nature.  She finds pleasure in being near bodies of water, and is an avid reader.  She is a fan of the silver screen, a guilty pleasure she indulges on a regular basis.  Keisha is known for heading off to the movie theatre early in the day, and not being seen or heard from till late at night.  She has an affinity for action, science fiction and Marvel flicks.  In addition, Keisha loves to dance, and intimates that dancing is her preferred method of cardio exercise. Several nights a week, she’ll head off to the club, take up position near the DJ or the Bouncer, and with singular focus, dance for a few hours.

Keisha A. Rivers Shorty indicates that she takes her life’s work seriously.  She views her workshops and presentations as a shared life experience between herself and attendees.  She indicates that by attending her sessions, you make a conscious decision to gift her with your time, a portion of your life that you’ll never get back.  She believes that ‘Your time on this earth is not solely for you. It is also for those who are touched by the ripple effect of your passing…’ and that it’s therefore our responsibility to be the best possible version of ourselves.
