Stephanie Carls is an energetic and engaging woman with a lot on her plate. Yet, she somehow manages her many roles successfully, and does it all with admirable grace. In addition to being a wife and mother, Stephanie is a speaker, video marketer, founder of My Savvy Life, and Client Success Manager at Rivet. As a digital lifestyle enthusiast, Stephanie shares her passion for social media and technology online, and focuses on the ways both are changing the way we live and share information. Most notably, she removes the mystique, and helps ‘the tech-challenged’ embrace the fact that technology is here to help, not overwhelm us. She creates videos on YouTube to feature gadgets, apps, websites and even some tech hacks to help us all enjoy technology.
Stephanie’s educational background supports her life’s work. She brings to the table a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus on Corporate Communication, and a double minor in Business and Advertising from Eastern Illinois University. After college, Stephanie held a series of jobs that allowed her to hone the skills she now wields effortlessly. Jobs such as producer, advertising manager, director of social media/strategy, have added to Stephanie’s industry experience, such that her sphere of expertise includes Social Media, Video, Video Editing, Mobile Marketing, YouTube Marketing, and Social Media Strategy.
Stephanie Carls is a firm believer of living in the moment and embracing opportunities as they present themselves. When asked how she balances her obviously busy life, she indicates that “… There is no balance, … that something always takes precedence.” In effect, it circles back to her philosophy of living in the moment, dealing with things as they come, prioritizing as she goes. This approach has served her well, and results in a woman who is able to remain calm in the face of chaos.
Stephanie enjoys learning, and when spending time with her children she relishes their expressions of wonder as they discover new things. Reading is a pastime that Stephanie engages in. She can be found perusing ‘the next new thing in tech’, or voraciously devouring the latest John Grisham novel. She also has a fondness for music, the specific genre determined by her prevailing mood or activity. While working, she favors movie scores and classical music featuring piano, cello and oboe. When she’s out and about with her family, contemporary pops songs are the norm.
A former client of Stephanie’s My Savvy Life imparts the following advice – “… if you get to listen to her speak or meet her in person, LISTEN to every single thing she tells you. This woman knows her stuff! She’s the real deal and overall, a terrific professional.”
